Shellback Dinghy National Championships
Thursday, Friday & Saturday at Clark’s Landing Cottages in Moultonborough, NH

1. Host and Organizing Authority:
   Clark’s Landing Cottages is hosting the 16^th Annual Shellback Dinghy National Championships September 25^th, 26^th and 27^th 2025, in Moultonborough, NH, for the awarding of the Frank A. Pedersen Trophy. Additional trophies will be awarded as well.
   
   
2. Rules
   The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (2023) (RRS) as amended in the Shellback Sailing Instructions.
   
   
3. Eligibility & Entries
   Joel White’s designed 11.2-foot-long Shellback sailing dinghies sailed by Shellback owners, builders, family, friends.
   
   
4. Racing Venue & Schedule
   Racing in Moultonborough Bay / Using Clark’s Landing beach, dock and launching site.
   • Thursday September 25^th – Arrivals, launching, afternoon practice
   • Friday September 26^th RACE DAY # 1
     • 9:30am Captains meeting
     • 10:00am First horn
     • 12:30pm Lunch Break (provided at dock)
     • 1:30pm More racing
   • Saturday September 27^th RACE DAY #2
     • 9:30am Captains meeting
     • 10:00am First horn
     • 12:30pm Lunch Break (provided at dock)
     • 1:30pm More racing
       
       
5. Socials
   • Thursday evening: Official Welcome at Knapp House (BYOB)
   • Friday evening: TBD
   • Saturday evening: Awards dinner at local restaurant, TBD
     
     
6. Scoring and Prizes
   • Scoring: low point. One completed race constitutes a regatta. Max 14 races.
   • Seven (or more) completed races allows for one throw-out.
   • Ties settled with last/latest race
   • Overall winner – Frank A Pedersen Trophy
   • 2^nd and 3^rd place trophies
   • Other trophies to be awarded
     
     
7. Fees – Entry Fee $40 per boat / if racing
